The largest marketplace for artist books and small publishers' books takes place every two years in Mainz, the birthplace of the Gutenberg Bible, with more than 220 exhibitors from ten different nations. Over four days, around 5,000 titles and 1,000 new releases are presented here, some of which were printed on printing presses that are decades old.

Over 30 cultural and professional events provide information on the latest concepts and trends in publishing literature and art, and over 100 readings provide entertainment. This important meeting place is constantly full of cultural activities.
